Geometry Records — Volume X — Completion and Return
Opening Statement
Completion is not an endpoint. It is a recognition. The work ends when continuation would reduce clarity rather than deepen it.
I. Knowing When Enough Has Occurred
Completion announces itself through resistance. The surface refuses further addition.
This refusal is precise.
II. The Difference Between Stopping and Finishing
Stopping is arbitrary. Finishing is responsive.
The drawing ends when it can stand without explanation.
III. Closure Without Resolution
Completion does not resolve questions. It holds them intact.
The record closes while the inquiry continues elsewhere.
IV. Return to the Beginning
After completion, the system resets. The next drawing begins as the first did: empty, uncertain, receptive.
Nothing accumulates except understanding.
Process Note
Finished drawings are not revisited.
Closing Note
Completion returns the artist to the center, not the end.
End of Record.
